CHAPTER MEETING
APRIL 24,2010
The meeting was called to order at 12:23pm by Judith Greig,president with a quorum present. The minutes of March
10,2010 were read by the members in attendance and approved.A motion by L.Bowen to accept the minutes and a
second by G.Sarratt. The motion was passed.
Financial Report: D.Klak,treasurer
Amount reported in the treasury $25,263.85.
Committee Reports:
Membership-L.Bowen- Membership remains the same
Communications-L.Bowen/S.Petryszyn- The next Newsletter will be sent out on May 15,2010 and will probably be
done at N.Fellows home.We will be advised via e-mail where the location will be for the mailings.Articles/news should
be sent by May 1-8,2010
Fund Raising/Reverse Raffle-C.Keiser-Amount raised from the Basket Raffle $379.00.Jewels were displayed but there
were none sold.
Legislative/Ohio Council-P.Chapek-The next Ohio Council meeting will be on June 12,2010 at the Hunan restaurant in
Columbus,Ohio.Also elections will be held at the Ohio Council meeting.Clare will call those members who are eligible
to run. The HB 205 is still in the state house/there is still a push on to pass this bill. The RN circulator bill.
Outreach-L.Gronowski/T.Brown-Career Day is May 6,2010 at Emile De Sauze Elementary School,T.Brown will have
handouts for the students. Behind OR Doors will be at Fairview General Hospital in November.
Scholarship-P.Chapek/N.Fellows-Applications are due by June 1,2010. N.Fellows has received two applications.
Education-T.Washington/T.Brown- Robert Mays will present at the next meeting on " Tissue Allograft",a light snack will
be provided.
Old Business:No additional nominees were added for the June ballot for the chapter.The chapter will have a vote to
suspend the voting since the nominees are running with no opposing candidates for each office.
A motion to close the slate since there were no furthur nominees for the ballot was made by L.Bowen and a second
was made by G.Sarratt.The motion was passed.
The chapter recognized two members passing. Leonard Dreslinski and Jerome Zielaskiewicz.
A motion was passed to send $100.00 to each family in recognition of the members. Motion by S.Petryszyn and a
second by L.Bowen and the motion was passed.
New Business: May 1,2020 is the deadline to submit names for those wishing to run for National Office. Nancy Fellows
indicated that she is interested in running for office so her name will be submitted to National to run for office.
A motion by S.Petryzsyn and second by L.Bowen to have the reverse raffle on February 13,2010 at Tazzanno's.The
motion was passed. The date will be checked and discussed with Mike/the contact person at the restaurant.
Announcements:
We received a Certificate of Recognition for the DVD that was submitted to Congress on behalf of our chapter.Also a
picture was sent via email of the delegates to Congress.
The meeting was adjourned by J.Greig, president at 12:47 pm.
