AORN OF GREATER CLEVELAND
CHAPTER MEETING
FEBRUARY 16,2011

The meeting was called to order by president S.Petryszyn at 7:03pm with a quorum in attendance.Members and visitors
were recognized and welcomed.Visiting was Becky Patton.Becky is now at Case Western Reserve University.She
announced that Case is developing a chair to recognize the OR.
The minutes from the previous meeting were reviewed and a motion to approve the minutes was made by L.Bowen and
second by B.Bonus  the motion was passed.

Treasurer's Report/D.Klak
The balance in the treasury is $ 19,294.90 as of the statement of 02/16/11.
The profit from the Reverse Raffle is not included in the total/money has not been deposited.Raffle profit is $ 2340.00.
Delegates attending Congress will receive 1/2 of stipend in the amount of $ 375.00 each at tonights meeting.The
remainder of stipend will be given when obligations are meant by delegates after Congress.

President's announcements
Members wanting to vote for issues being considered at Congress can go online starting February 22,2011 and cast
their vote.
Delegates must attend the Meet the Candidates at Congress along with the other requirements.
Printouts for sessions can only be obtained online.
Barb Bonus has information on people who clean for Cancer patients and anyone wishing or needing help can see her
or go to www.Cleaning for Cancer Patients.com.

A review of the candidates for National office was done by Sherry Petryszyn,Clare Keiser,and Linda Bowen.
The chapter accountability was received at national and we received a letter of congratulations for submitting the
information.

Committee Reports

Communications/L.Bowen,a report after their next meeting.

Hospitality/C.Keiser,Josh Penix from Pedigo provided the dinner for the evening and gave information on positioning
aides.

Fund Raising/N.Fellows/C.Keiser,Reverse Raffle sold 93 tickets.Total income was $ 6697.00

Scholarship/N.Fellows,a profile on the student awarded the scholarship will be in the next newsletter along with a picture.

Legislation/P.Chapek
Ohio Council will meet at noon on February 26,2011 at the Dutch Heritage restaurant in Bellview,Ohio.
The Council dinner at Congress will be $30.00 at Maggiano's on Tuesday,March 22,2011.

Membership/L.Bowen,remaining the same.

Outreach/T.Brown/N.Fellows,Nurses' Day is in May.Update later regarding outreach at Mentor H.S. and other activities.

Bylaws & Policy /No report at this time

Education/T.Washington,March in-service will be presented by Nancy Fellows,Sterilization Then & Now .Tim Rhudy will
do his in-service in September instead of May.

No old or new business.

A motion to adjourned the meeting was made by G.Sarratt and a second to adjourn by J.Lantis and the was meeting
adjourned at 7:37pm.
