Chapter Meeting
February 17,2010
The AORN chapter meeting was called to order at 7:00pm by president J.Greig with a quorum present.
The minutes of the January 20,2010 was read by the members and a motion was made by L.Bowen and
was second by G.Sarratt to accept the minutes.The motion was passed.
Financial Report
The financial report was given by D.Klak.
The previous balance in the treasury was $24,046.37
Amount paid out 1,173.32
Amount of deposits/interest 548.90
The balance $23,421.95
Committee Reports
Communications-L.Bowen/S.Petryszyn
The newsletter will be done on March 28,2010.
The mailings will be done at either Nancy Fellows B. Kirschner will be a delegate for the Cleveland chapter/she will not
be a paid delegate.
There will be a mega/committee meeting at the home of J.Greig on March 27,2010.
Hospitality-C.Keiser
The dinner tonight was provided by Brett Vacarelli from Medline.
Fund Raising-C.Keiser
The Basket Raffle is on April 24,2010 at the workshop/meeting.There is no theme just make a basket to share.
The letters are now available for the organizations considering donating baskets.
Legislative/Ohio Council-P.Chapek/L.Bowen
February 20,2010 Ohio Council will meet at the Dutch Heritage restaurant in Columbus,Ohio
Nurses Day is February 24,2010 at the State House in Columbus,Ohio/OR circulator is at issue

Introduction of visitors
Renewal of membership for Cleveland Clinic employees at the main campus has not been received.
S.Petryszyn stated the check has been issued but it has not been processed for the Cleveland Clinic employees.

Scholarship-P.Chapek/N.Fellows
There is a need for clarification for the qualifications required for the student scholarship.
The scholarships for members will be in May.The Allen/Laing and the McGowen scholarships.
The member scholarships are $500.00 each.
Education-T.Washington
Tonights presentation Reducing Surgical Site Infection and presented by Brett Vaccarelli of Medline Industries.
The March meeting will be on Buffalo Filters and presented by Richard Howard./Dinner will not be provided
Old Business
The objectives are being finalized for the April workshop. The speakers are Patrick Voight and Rebecca Patton,
Topic: Health Care Policy in Nursing
New Business
A motion was made and passed to have the meeting site for 2010-2011 at the present meeting site at Ursuline College.
The motion was made by G.Sarratt and a second to the motion was made by S.Petryszyn.This motion did not include the
dinner meeting in January which will be decided at a later date.

S.Petryszyn announced that the Cleveland Clinic is launching a new program on April 12,2010 Periop Nurse Program
