| President's Message: Colleagues, First, I would like to thank everyone that helped out or attended on of our Fall events. Our chapter was kept busy, right through PeriOperative Nurse's Week. We had the Fall Jewelry Show for our Scholarship funds, many thanks to Nancy Fellows who opened her home for a delightful afternoon. We went to Mentor High School for the Career Expo and left without voices, after talking about Nursing for over two hours. There are quite a few promising young individuals looks towards a career in nursing. Our "Behind the OR Doors Day" events were both well attened at Beachwood ASC and Fairview ASC. Thank you to all the dedicated volunteers, sales representatives and companies who helped make the days successful. I would especially like to thank Cleveland Clinic for opening up their facilities to help us teach over 125 children and about 50 adults what we do as PeriOperative Nurses. The events did not stop there; Cind Tucker helped organize a surgical supply sorting event at MedWish International. We are trying to make this a monthly volunteer activity so please contact Cindy at ctuckerrnfa@msn.com if you are interested in some hours. Mark your calendars for the Saturday, April 14th Wine Tasting Event. This fundraiser will be held at Colonial Beverage in Chesterland from 6-8pm. Please plan on attending and supporting our Chapter. I wish you and your families a happy and healthy holiday season. May your New Year bring exciting new opportunities and wonderful memories. Make a resolution to attend at least one chapter meeting in the spring, it is a wonderful opportunity to network, socialize, and learn. If you have any ideas for educational opportunities or topics please let us know, we are always looking to fill our calendar.
